2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup - are you ready for some racing?
by Charlie Turner
I'm Charlie Turner co-host of the syndicated, mostly NASCAR radio show On Pit Row. Thanks for stopping by OnPitRow.com and the Bench Racing with Steve and Charlie blog. Oh yeah, Steve is an idiot.

Boogity boogity, cinch those belts up tight and for you tail-gaters - both on-site and on in-home remote - wake up already!
I hope you can join Steve and me for the Bench Racing live blog starting at 3:15 pm et. In the interim, between all of the televised pre-race stuff, check out these great blogs for their spin on the 50th Daytona 500.
- Bram covered the Camping World 300 and Tony Stewart’s big win.
- Check out Mike’s Daytona preview at Trouble in turn #2
- The profs have the top six figured out at The View from here.
- Jerry has an open thread going for the 500 at Restictor plate this……..as does JD at Daley Planet. OK, you try using those two in the same sentence sometime.
- Ryan Newman fan has a good analysis and the Rev’ Jim gives his Sunday morning best as well.
- Bob sticks his esteem on the line with his top twenty five too, saving the Rants and Raves for later, I guess.
- Luke at the Thunder Lounge and Darren at One Bad Wheel have been counting this thing down since way back in December and it’s all good so take some time and check out the archives.
I’m sure I missed some, but I’ve been busier than a one-armed paper hanger - as my dad used to say - getting the live blog ready. I like Marc’s version of the new season’s send off the best I think.
Ahoy there all you longneck drinkin’ Redneck slobs, lets go racin’!
Enjoy the race.

A paper hanger, or a one legged man in an ass kicking contest?
