Dale Earnhardt Jr won the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway - a track that, once upon a time, he owned.

The win was the first for Junior, in a points paying race, in any series, in a long time.

He won in a retro, Wrangler paint schemed, car emblazoned with the famous number three of his daddy, Dale Senior.

Junior has said that this would be the last time he would drive the number three. Ever.

This was the first race ever for the brand new, pony-car bodied Nationwide Series cars.

The race was a big deal. And NASCAR’s biggest deal won the dang thing.

The crowd went wild. I couldn’t hear the announcers, but I am SURE that they heaped praise on Junior as if he were Senior.

And Junior didn’t even do a burn out. No passion. None.

Why is he so freakin’ popular?

Didn’t you listen to the interview after the race? He didn’t do the burnouts so he didn’t hurt the engine so they can tear it down they can check the wear on it. So evidently he was told Not to do it. We didn’t care…We Are Jr Nation!! We love him…he honest and sincere.
He has plenty of passion, more than I can say for you! I can’t believe you say he doesn’t have passion (because he didn’t do a stupid burnout?)…you must not know him. So I think you should… Never talk about him again!!

Hey whats your problem ?? he wanted to save the car. and if u weren’t blind u would see the total emotion… pay attention to the sport !!! jealous cuz no1 will cheer, yell and go nuts over u ?

lol…you are ridiculous for saying that Jr has no passion because he didn’t do a burnout! The reason why he didn’t do it was explained…I believe he even stated the reason twice during his interview with ESPN in victory lane. Even if the team didn’t want to examine the engine after the race, I still LOVE the fact that he didn’t do a burn out. Very old school and very classy. I bet when Mark Martin wins and he doesn’t do a burn out you would NEVER say he has no passion. Get over it!

All the passion is coming from you guys - his fans. The end of this race looked like a golf tournament. Since when, does a driver worry about saving a car - FOR A MUSEUM? Will they run the ENGINE in the museum?

This was a business deal folks. I am a Junior fan. I was VERY HAPPY THAT HE WON!

Then they parked the car like they were late for dinner. Think about it.

Got something to say?
