Thus far today, I’ve been yelled at for not wearing my press crendtials… while nowhere near where it was required, left my phone in the car (Mrs. Dude brought it back), found to add to yesterday’s “we don’t care if you’re here not” moment of having a cold garage pass (had a hot one in February) I had no reserved spot in the media center, and when I inquired about same was told basically to get lost. Heck of a job making me feel welcome, NASCAR!

Anyway, the first Nationwide practice is underway (Danica’s twenty-fifth and I honestly can’t read the screen to see who’s first; I think it’s the #99). Apparently the Kyle Busch presser, which as held at his trailer, was quite the raucous affair, he speaking ill of David Reutimann regarding this past Sunday’s close encounter of the throughly ticked kind.

Jimmie Johnson was darn near giddy in his press conference, bantering with ease with the media. You’d think he was confident or something…

Well, since there’s no room for me at the inn (or in the media center), guess I’ll hang out up here in the press box, which presently is filled with PR people pounding out press releases, and watch the rest of the first Nationwide practice.
