It’s been raining in the Kingdom of France. Daytona be drenched.
Festivities for NASCAR’s next race at Daytona International Speedway start in…40 days. They may have to fire up the new Ark of Tomorrow for that one if it doesn’t stop raining soon.
Check out these cell phone pictures taken by an anonymous OnPitRow.com contributor and relayed to me this morning. It’s pretty incredible.

Maybe The France family should think about branching out into jet skis or power boat races.
Maybe they should get Kyle Busch there and with his hot air they would get the track dry in no time !
BethAnne I thought the same thing. Funny thing is Lake Lloyd has hosted power boat races in the past but damned if I can find a reference to them.
I’ve found a lot of refs stating they were held but nothing detailing what type and when.

These photos amaze me. It’s funny, just a couple of hours ago I told my wife they should have a boat race there.
Marc - Here is one reference that I found. Jersey Speed Skiffs Debut at Daytona International — http://www.classicraceboatassoc.com/wherewehavebeen.html

Swamp buggies anyone?
Air boats - with big decals pasted all over them.
Holy cr*p…I hadn’t seen those photos until now. That’s a ton of water, I can’t believe how high up the boards it is. Wave Runner races would have been sweet for sure.
