Beatin’ and bangin’ at New Hampshire

I am co-host of the syndicated radio show: ON PIT ROW. Charlie likes to call me an "idiot". I'm not an "idiot"; I just prefer not to let the facts get in the way of my opinions.

Tempers flared as drivers took their frustrations out on one another.

Untitled PostPoints leader Kyle Busch and Juan Pablo Montoya were treating the 1mile-plus oval at New Hampshire more like the shorter Bristol or Martinsville. The Shrub and JPM got together late in the rain shortened Lenox 301. While both drivers didn’t seem to know what exactly happened to cause the two to get together, what was obvious was that Montoya purposly ran into Rowdy while the caution was out.

To make it even worse (for him) was he admitted to running into the points leader in retaliation.

And that leads us to this weeks BUZZ ON PIT ROW:

Will fans applaud Juan Pablo Montoya’s dust up with Kyle Busch or will public opinion favor The Shrub on this one?

Let us know what you think and we may use your response on this week’s ON PIT ROW. Listen to ON PIT ROW live from 5-7pm ET then check out INSIDE ARCA from 7 to 8:30pm at arcaracing.com.

Please ask NASCAR to handle this one between cars #18 and #42 with dignity and honesty. Personally, I feel car #42 is the one at fault. This year #18 is outshinning all others on the track and, therefore, there is a lot of jealousy. I remember when Dale Earnhardt drove like Kyle Busch and people didn’t like him either at the time. Car #42 is no where near the driver #18 is and the other drivers all know this too! Car #42 has caused problems from the start so, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT NASCAR!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Maureen–

It looks as if NASCAR did what it is going to do. Officials sat JPM for two laps during the race and that is where it is going to stay. No further penalties were announced on Tuesday. NASCAR believes this was best handled at the time with lap penalties and I have to agree.

Just like a new puppy–the most effective punishment comes swiftly–before there has been time to forget what the offense was.

NASCAR handled it well. It was JPM’s fault, but even if it wouldn’t have been I think fans would have stood up for Baby Brother Busch.
How come you guys aren’t at Church? You need to do some repenting.

I’d give a dollar (or two) to see the previous 25 or so laps in isolation mode between the 42 and 18 cars. Just a guess here but I bet that was some of the best racing seen all day between two headstrong drivers.

Got something to say?
