Mindy didn’t think much of Hall of Fame – or Shame – Racing’s decision to dump Joey – Sliced Bread – Logano from the No. 96 seat. She liked Carl Edwards big move at Kansas and apparently, she approves of the Aric Almirola in a fire suit.

I wonder, from the comments I’ve read:
a) Was it HOF that made the decision, or b) JGR that made the decision?
The comments I’ve read had an underlying tone of “the [HOF] equipment wasn’t good enough to work with.”
On the other hand, didn’t they repaint the car from Richmond to take to New Hampshire (under the HOF banner)?
Could very well be that HOF, being a back-of-the-pack team, didn’t want to “waste” points letting Bread get the seat time.
I wonder if the decision wasn’t mutual. I am still of the opinion that J J Yeley is too good a driver to be a failure in Cup. Therefor, I think the equipmnet/team is the weak link. JGR may have come to the same conclusion.
Either way, I agree with Mindy – using Shrader as your future focus is short-siting your future, don’t you think?
Luke, I believe you are correct that at least one of the HOF cars that Joey drove came straight from the JGR shop. However; the overtones were that he was learning how NOT to do things correctly. It wasn’t just the car quality in question, but also the team quality.
Oh, and Charlie, I agree with you and Mindy, if HOF is looking to the future, then it is time for them to find a driver that is the future not the past. This is the same thinking that has prevailed too long at the Wood Brothers.
