As the Cupsters conclude their first practice, some bits of news:

As mentioned earlier, look for Robby Gordon to make a run at this year’s Indy 500.
The new AMP Energy juice Dale Jr.’s promoting this week? It’s orange juice. Really, really good orange juice.
Speaking of Dale Jr., he discussed why he’s not on Twitter. It boils down to his not wanting to tick people off should he get burned out on it, like he has with other social media outlets, and quit. Which makes sense when you’re in his position.
It’ll be interesting to see what the attendance will be like for Danica Patrick’s press conference this afternoon. She has the second to last qualifying run for Nationwide, by the way. Not a few media members who regularly follow NASCAR aren’t here this weekend for various reasons. However, one suspects more than a few local media will descend on the media center, assuming they can actually find Fontana, and then just as swiftly vanish.

Off to the next press conference.

DAMN… the “ticket prices” to get into OPR must have been slashed drastically for Dude to get in here.
